AN ASTONISHING COINCIDENCE OR CONFIRMATION?

SCRIPTURE

“Thine eyes did see my substance yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:16*

QUOTE

The Triplet code is perfectly programmed to preserve physical life by its position. The Tripartite man has been flawlessly designed to live forever young by his being in the image of God. By the eternal co-equal nature, the Triune God preserves divine providence for justification, sanctification, and glorification that encompasses Salvation.

SCIENCE

For centuries, scientists were puzzled by the enigma of genetic material and wondered how it was transmitted from generation to generation. Three thousand years ago, a shepherd boy named David phrased the word “substance” for genetic material. In 1869, Swiss doctor Friedrich Miescher isolated a crude extract from human cells and called it a new chemical “substance.” Is it a coincidence that layman David and scientist Meischer use the exact term "Substance"

Similarly, more than 2,000 years ago, a fisherman named John coined the terms “Word” or Logos and “God” (John 1:1-3) for the very “substance.” Neither the scientists nor the shepherd boy nor Apostle John knew what the hereditary material looked like, however, now we know it is DNA. When David says, my substance, he talks about a person’s entire DNA (genome). Similarly, when he says that all my members were written, it means that all the bases of DNA (the total sum of 6.4 billion letters) a person possesses are written in his/her genome. John continues with John 1:14, "The Word is made flesh.”

LET US PONDER

What do the words, substance, word, God, DNA, and flesh signify? Is this a simple coincidence, or is God revealing a great mystery to humanity? They all point out an astonishing path towards fulfilling the messianic prophecy that God will manifest in the flesh (DNA) in the historical Jesus of Nazareth.
